The Rugby Northern Lights Lions Club will be hosting its "Roaring Affair" Irish tasting on Friday, March 17 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Rugby Senior Center.

The tasting will include several appetizer portions of traditional Irish foods, such as corn beef, potatoes, green punch, green beer, Irish coffee, and more, according to Lions member Jennifer Suko.

"When we decide to do a Roaring Affair, we always pick an organization to give back to. This year, it's the Senior Center," Suko said. Past funds have been donated to the Lyric Theater and Village Arts.

While the Roaring Affair is an annual event, this is the second year with an Irish theme.

All who attend will be entered into a drawing to win door prizes, including a Michael Kors purse.

"[The Roaring Affair] is a chance for people to come, try some different foods and socialize with people in the community," Suko said.

Regular tickets are $15, senior citizen tickets for those ages 65 and older are $10, and couple tickets are $25 at the door.
