Sharon Irene Grossman

Sharon Irene Grossman, 72, of Esmond, ND passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, ND. A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 and/or Liberty's Troops: 22849 483rd Ave, Flandreau, SD 57028.

Sharon Irene was born April 10, 1945 to Isaac and Ruby (Sheets) Burgess on a farm west of Minnewaukan, ND. She attended the Isabell Township country school

before graduating from the Maddock High School in 1963. Sharon was united in marriage to Daniel Grossman on October 12, 1963 at the St. Williams Catholic Church in Maddock. The couple moved to Towner, ND where they lived for two years before returning to Esmond. Sharon and Daniel lived on a farm west of Esmond until September 1988 before spending a short time in Balta, ND. They then moved to their farm west of Esmond in 1989 where they have resided since. Sharon worked full

time for 10 years as a house keeper at the Haaland Home in Rugby and as a bartender in the Esmond Bar. She dedicated her life to her family and the farm. She enjoyed raising cattle with Daniel, playing BINGO, Casino trips, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed cheering on the Minnesota Vikings

(through thick and thin) and Carson Wentz.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 53 years, Daniel; children, Susanne Wentz of Harvey, ND, Shirley (Brian) Lewis of Greenbush, MN, Tami (Ron) Wentz of Esmond,

ND and Tim (Linda) Grossman of Harvey, ND; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Danelle, Josh, Valerie, Derek, Jessica, Michelle, Nicholas, Levi and Daniel; great-grandchildren,

Harper and Jaxon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Ruby (Sheets) Burgess; father and mother in-law, Joe and Agnes Grossman; siblings, Keith, Leroy, Janice, and Leland; granddaughter, Aleisha Alleyne; special nephew, Brad Cichos.
