On Thursday, April 5th Adison Dosch, along with her mom, Tonia and little sister Tallie presented Laurie Heilman, RN, Swing Bed and Chemotherapy Coordinator at Heart of America Medical Center with tote bags filled with fleece blankets.

Each Thursday, over the last six months during Little Flower Catholic School's Genius Hour, Adison set to work making fleece blankets for patients undergoing treatment in the Infusion/Chemotherapy Suite at HAMC. Since the end of September, she was able to make 7 fleece, tie blankets approximately 3'x5' in size.

Adison says, "My mom helped me come up with the idea and taught me how to make the blankets. Picking out the fabric was fun because there are colors for boys and some for girls. I feel happy knowing these blankets could help someone feel better when they are sick."

Each blanket is packaged in a convenient tote bag with comfort items such as word puzzles, note paper and mints.

For more information about services provided in the infusion/chemotherapy suite at HAMC call 701.776.5261 or log onto www.hamc.com.
