Myron Tessmann

Myron Tessmann-- 63, Burlington, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 in a Minot hospital.

Myron Victor Tessmann was born on March 23, 1956, a son of Clarence and Alma (Kroll) Tessmann in Harvey, ND. He was raised and educated in Goodrich, ND, where he graduated from Goodrich High School. Myron furthered his education by attending Dickinson State University, Mt. Hood Community College where he earned an Associate's Degree in Funeral Service, and Minot State University, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Myron enlisted in the United States Navy He proudly served his country until his honorable discharge.

In April of 1975, Myron was united in marriage to Candace Feickert. From this union two children Stacey and Jason were born the couple later divorced.

In 1989, Myron was united in marriage to Martia Saastad. To this union daughter Erica was born. The couple later divorced.

Myron worked various positions throughout his lifetime. He farmed with his father, served as a Licensed Funeral Director in Dickinson, ND, Paige, ND, Beulah, ND and Hope, ND. In the 1980's Myron moved into Burlington, ND, where he was a mail carrier and served as municipal judge for the city of Burlington.

He enjoyed telling jokes, gardening, delivering his two rows of specially planted beets to grandson Wyatt, socializing with friends at the Idle Hour Lounge, and spending time in his garage.

He is survived by: Two daughters, Stacey (Marvin) Schmaltz, Rugby, ND, Erica (Trey) Tessmann, Mayville, ND; six grandchildren: Mark Bercier, Meranda Schmaltz, Wyatt Schmaltz, Maylea Schmidt, Fisher Schmidt, Charlea Powers; one brother, Brian (Candy) Tessmann, Fargo; step-children and their families Dawn Saastad, Minot, Dustin Saastad, Cliford, ND; his friend who assisted Myron for years, Steve Miller; Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Myron was preceded in death by parents, a son Jason, and a brother DuWayne.

Visitation: Tuesday, November 26, 2019, from 5 until 7 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11 am at Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington, ND

Graveside Service: Friday, November 29, 2019 at NOON at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND
